
“Just stay calm.” he says like his words will be able to stop the anger that’s shifting under her skin, the worry that has it’s hands around her throat in a choke hold so tight that she’d like to take lessons.
She’d like to be able to calm down, loosen the wrongness of the tight set of her eyes, and tighten the looseness of her, but as she can’t she takes a deep breath, squares her shoulders and mouths so that only he will know what she’s saying. Not bloody likely.
